An Approach
Over the course of the past weeks, I have been able to spend considerable time delineating what and how I will approach making of photographic works for this project, Time & Again.
The result is as follows
The Overview
Inspiration:
Knowing my grandmother - the family storyteller and perennial archivist - is losing her memories, and I am unable to be there with her.
Intention:
Developing a better understanding of my family’s history and lived experiences - specifically of my grandmother - through exploring the photographs, documents, and objects collected over generations.
Method:
Address the collection of photographs, documents, and objects as an archive relative to my family’s history. Do not attempt objectivity in exploration. Document the process. Respond to findings via visual means.
The Process

I also have been exploring digital image manipulation and collage in relation to this project, utilizing scans of photographs from the archive, documents, and photographs I have taken.
